Sweely Estate Merlot 200786.5% Merlot, 5.5% Malbex, 4.5% Petit Verdot, 3.5% Cabernet Franc. 45% aged in French Oak. Our 2007 Merlot has a bit of Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc to round out the well-balanced, medium-body wine. The nose exides bright mixed berry with minty overtones, and the palate emphasizes the strawberry flavors, a lovely roundness and respectable finish. This wine pairs well with roasted salmon, beef bourguignon (remember to use it in the recipe, too) and summer beef kabobs. |
